Director's Statement

In crafting SIREN, I sought to delve into the dark undercurrents of modern lust and digital overstimulation. This film is a visceral exploration of how our constant craving for connection and validation can lead us to dangerous, shallow waters.

Rett's journey is a reflection of our times—his nautical-themed living room, a metaphor for his aimless navigation through the sea of online temptation and modern-day dating. The blue light that hypnotizes him symbolizes the omnipresent glow of our screens, pulling us into a trance of endless scrolling and swiping.

This film is a cautionary tale, urging viewers to reflect on their own interactions with technology and the often-overlooked consequences of our digital obsessions. It’s a modern-day siren song, warning of the dangers that come with surrendering to the seductive call of our screens.
